An estimated $500 million worth of illegal cannabis was seized by Oregon State police last week according to a recent news release.

Five industrial-sized warehouses received a search warrant from the Oregon State Police Southwest Region (OSP) Drug Enforcement Section team. OSP found several migrant workers living on site. Police described the living conditions as “subpar” with no running water. In addition to the 500,000 pounds of marijuana, police also found a gun on site.

According to Oregon state law adults 21 and older can use cannabis recreationally, but it is illegal to manufacture it without a license.
