Cannabis News: Judge Halts Marijuana Operations In Illinois

Judge Halts Marijuana Operations In Illinois

An Illinois judge has put a halt on the issuing of retail licenses for cannabis companies.

Cook County Judge Moshe Jacobius ruled that no new retailing licenses will be handed down until the ruling of the lawsuit by the Wah Group has been completed.

There are currently over 100 licenses that have yet to be determined if they are to be cleared or not.

As a result of Judge Jacobius decision to block the issuing of licenses, there have also been multiple lawsuits filed over the decision making processes of the approval of licenses.

The next court date for the Wah Group lawsuit is scheduled for August 16th.
