Going Green: Billionaire Endorses the End of Marijuana Prohibition

by Joe Grande

Billionaire Charles Koch has endorsed the idea of marijuana use after investing in efforts to support ending prohibition.

While Koch has said that he himself is not a marijuana user, he revealed that he once tried the product accidentally back in the 1980s mistakingly eating a weed brownie.

Koch stated that he has always had a belief that marijuana should be legal nationally, which has led to him investing almost $25 million dollars into the legal side of the industry to try and make the product legal.

President Joe Biden has also opposed the legalization of marijuana, which has hampered the ability of investors such as Koch to end prohibition.

Koch along with other organizations formed the Cannabis Freedom Alliance back in April in order to lobby congress to remove federal prohibition on marijuana.
