Go Green: Nevada Cannabis Consumption Lounges to Soon be Established
by Joe Grande
Since this past July, the Nevada cannabis compliance board has been working on establishing dispensaries with cannabis consumption lounges.
As of this moment, the board is discussing different factors such as public health, safety, and social regulations that need to be implemented for these lounges. This notion to move forward with these lounges being implemented comes 5 years after the legalization of the distribution of marijuana by larger companies.
After years of waiting, Nevada citizens are closer to their goals of establishing these lounges than ever.
Ed Alexander, founder of Sol Cannabis, claims that the intention was to always establish these lounges. He claimed that the Cannabis Consumption Board is taking its time to “determine the aspects and what-ifs” of these new establishments.
The only current Nevada consumption lounge is located on tribal land that was established by the Las Vegas Paiute tribe. Next week, the cannabis advisory commission subcommittee will be meeting to further discuss the expansion of these lounges across the state!
