Over $6.5M of Marijuana Seized In Washington

by John Brazelton

On September 22, Plain Fields authorities instigated a search warrant on what was seemingly a normal farm. The investigation revealed that was not the case.

The 29 acre farm was home to an illegal marijuana growth operation with over 800 lbs of dried marijuana valued up to $6.5M as well as 5,719 marijuana plants, $500K in growing equipment, and $22,000 in cash.

A 6,000-square foot house, a 5,000-square foot barn and a 13,000-square foot horse arena was converted into a home for the illegal operation. The warrant was achieved due to an ongoing investigation by the Westside Interagency Narcotics team.

The Sheriff’s Office has released no further information about the case, including if anyone has been arrested or if there are any suspects.
